    Go and Glow Micropeel

SkinCeuticals® Micropeel uses a combination of dermaplaning and a light alpha hydroxy acid solution. This treatment removes dry, dull surface skin cells and speeds up cell turnover, enhancing product penetration and improving skin's texture and radiance. This is a great "glow & go" treatment when done before a special event.

    Vi Peel™

The Vi Peel with Precision Plus will improve tone, texture, and clarity of the skin as well as the appearance of age spots, freckles and hyperpigmentation. It also helps to soften fine lines & wrinkles, improve acne and lightens acne scars. A series of peels will stimulate collagen production for firmer, more youthful looking skin.

    Customized Facial

Consult with our aesthetician to determine the right treatment to help you meet your skincare goals. This treatment includes cleansing, masque, possible extractions, facial massage and steam towels.

    Diamond Glow

Diamond Glow utilizes a diamond tip, suction hand-piece that helps to remove the top layer of dry & damaged skin cells, decongest pores, and infuses the skin with a therapeutic solution. It is customized to treat acne, pigmentation, sensitive skin or dull, dehydrated skin. This quick & easy treatment has minimal downtime and can be done regularly (every 4-8 weeks) for optimal rejuvenation.

Diamond Glow can also be used on the body to treat back & chest acne, sun damage, keratosis pilaris, rough/dry skin, stretch marks, and roughness on feet/hands.

    Laser Treatments

    General Rejuvenation

We offer laser skin rejuvenation with the Cutera Excel V device. This advanced laser technology helps to improve vascular and pigmented lesions on the skin. It is most commonly used to address persistent facial redness, scars, pigmented lesions, sun damage, angiomas, leg veins, port wine stains, red birthmarks, and rosacea. As one of the most advanced treatments to improve the appearance of skin tone, the Excel V combines two ultra-precise, best-in-class laser wavelengths (532nm/1064nm) in one device, which allows for us to treat all skin types with this laser.

All laser treatments are overseen by a physician onsite. Multiple sessions are needed to achieve maximum results. Generally 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart yield the best outcome.

    Laser Hair Removal

Lafayette Dermatology is excited to also offer the Cutera Excel HR device, an advanced hair removal laser that is perfect for every skin type, treating black or brown hair. Laser hair removal is the most effective treatment for hair removal, as well as a long term solution for perifolliculitis (ingrown hair or razor bumps). Laser hair removal works by selectively targeting the melanin in the hair follicle, damaging the hair follicle and interrupting further growth. This treatment works best on darker, denser hair; hair follicles without melanin (blonde, red, grey, and white hair) do not respond effectively to laser hair removal.

Common areas for laser hair removal are the upper lip, chin, underarm, bikini area, back, neck, and legs. Generally, 4-8 treatments spaced 6-10 weeks apart yield the best results.

    Halo Resurfacing Laser

Lafayette Dermatology is the only practice in Lafayette to offer the Halo Hybrid Resurfacing laser treatment. This fractionated laser uses hybrid technology that creates controlled zones of coagulation to chosen depths into the skin's dermis that stimulates collagen growth and then fractionally vaporizes micro laser channels in the epidermis. This innovative device addresses both tone and texture and regenerates the skin, resulting in brighter looking skin, with minimal downtime.

The Halo Fractional treatment creates outcomes based on the aggressiveness of the treatment taking into account your skin concerns, the health of your skin, and your individual healing ability. Due to this, patient response can vary after a Halo fractional treatment. Erythema (redness) and possibly edema (swelling) are the desired responses within a few minutes after the completion of the procedure. The degree of redness and length of healing time will increase with the depth and coverage of the procedure.

All laser treatments are overseen by a physician onsite, Monday through Friday.
