BOTOX® / Wrinkle Reducers

Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® are injectable neuromodulators  made up of botulinum toxin-A, which inhibits the muscle activity that leads to moderate to severe lines and wrinkles.   This treatment is administered by our physicians to correct facial wrinkles. Common treatment areas include forehead, glabella (between eyebrows), and crow’s feet. Results typically last 3-4 months.

Injectable Fillers

Juvèderm®, Radiesse®, Restylane®, Perlane®, Belotero®, & Voluma® – Fillers help to restore a more youthful appearance by correcting facial volume loss, which is a natural aging process. Fillers can also be used to “fill in” lines and enhance lips. Our physicians will recommend which filler or combination of fillers is best for you.

Kybella®

Kybella® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” Kybella® is injected into the chin area, resulting in the reduction of fat under the chin. It is an in-office procedure preformed by our board certified dermatologists and results in minimal downtime.

Medical Grade Chemical Peels

High concentrations of chemical peeling agents administered by our physicians to dramatically improve a wide variety of skin conditions including acne, acne scars, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Laser Treatments

General Rejuvenation

We offer laser skin rejuvenation with the Cutera Excel V device. This advanced laser technology helps to improve vascular and pigmented  lesions on the skin. It is most commonly used to address persistent facial redness, scars, pigmented lesions, sun damage, angiomas, leg veins, port wine stains, red birthmarks, and rosacea. As one of the most advanced treatments to improve the appearance of skin tone, the Excel V combines two ultra-precise, best-in-class laser wavelengths (523nm/1064nm) in one device, which allows for us to treat all skin types with this laser.

All laser treatments are overseen by a physician onsite. Multiple sessions are needed to achieve maximum results. Generally 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart yield the best outcome.

Laser Hair Removal

Lafayette Dermatology is excited to also offer the Cutera Excel HR device, an advanced hair removal laser that is perfect for every skin type, treating black or brown hair. Laser hair removal is the most effective treatment for hair removal, as well as a long term solution for perifolliculitis (ingrown hair or razor bumps). Laser hair removal works by selectively targeting the melanin in the hair follicle, damaging the hair follicle and interrupting further growth. This treatment works best on darker, denser hair; hair follicles without melanin (blond, red, grey, and white hair) do not respond effectively to laser hair removal.

Common areas for laser hair removal are the upper lip, chin, underarm, bikini area, back, neck, and legs. Generally, 4-8 treatments spaced 6-10 weeks apart yield the best results.

Halo Resurfacing Laser

Lafayette Dermatology is the only practice in Lafayette to offer the Halo Hybrid Resurfacing laser treatment. This innovative device addresses both tone and texture and regenerates the skin, resulting in brighter looking skin, with minimal downtime.

All laser treatments are overseen by a physician onsite, Monday through Friday.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy

This noninvasive ultrasound device lifts and tightens the neck, chin, and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the decolletage. The power of ultrasound goes to work deep below the skin’s surface, reviving and creating collagen over time for a different kind of lift.
